Weekends | Mesilla Valley Maze
One of the biggest draws of the Fall season is the Mesilla Valley Maze in Fairacres, just a few miles west of Las Cruces. A family tradition since 1999 and considered the oldest giant corn maze in the state, it features a wide range of attractions that are good old-fashioned fun for the entire family.

Heads up NM aviation fans! Las Cruces Air & Space Expo is coming to Las Cruces in October. Come out to Las Cruces International Airport to see a variety of aircraft and enjoy fun aviation activities.
FRI 18 | Las Cruces 23rd Annual Empty Bowls
Empty Bowls is an annual international event generated by artists to acknowledge Word Hunger Day in October. Attendees select a handmade bowl and enjoy a meal of soup and bread donated by local restaurants. Funds raised from Empty Bowls enable El Caldito to provide free meals to the Las Cruces community.
SAT 19 | Trinity Site Open House
It’s a well-known fact that the Atomic Age began right here in New Mexico. At 5:29 a.m. MST, on July 16, 1945, the world’s first atomic bomb was tested at White Sands Missile Range (WSMR) in the Tularosa Basin. Now registered as a site of historical significance, the Trinity Site Open House takes place only twice a year, in April and October. Plan your visit to this important modern marvel, on October 19, 2024, 8 a.m. – 2 p.m.

From high in the sky, a Great Pumpkin will drop free candy!
The City of Las Cruces Parks and Recreation department, Weaver’s Welding, and Friends of the Community present the 15th Annual Great Pumpkin Candy Drop! Join us for afternoon of music, games, and goodies that the whole family can enjoy for free!
Children ages 5-15 will dive for candy based on age group. Children ages 1-4 will receive a goody bag and can participate in all other free, fun activities. No need to bring any bags or containers, they will be provided!

Dia de Los Muertos Celebration, Mesilla, New Mexico. Procession November 2nd, 2024. Celebrate the Day of the Dead with lots of music and food.

honors the rich traditions of Día De Los Muertos while infusing a fresh perspective to engage younger generations.
Our event is both deeply rooted in cultural heritage and bursting with
contemporary energy, making it a must-attend for everyone in the community.

Every year, the Doña Ana Arts Council’s Renaissance ArtsFaire transforms Young Park, in Las Cruces, into a magical realm where a medieval sensibility reigns throughout the entire weekend. Featuring the largest juried art show in Southern New Mexico, with over 150 artists, vendors, and food booths, the ArtsFaire offers unique treasures and a festive atmosphere for all. With the theme “Reimagining the Renaissance,” The 53rd Annual Renaissance Arts Faire promises to bring more time periods and multicultural representations to Young Park.

The Artists of Picacho Hills was founded in 2008 by artists living in the Picacho Hills Community with a shared interest in promoting the arts.
Our mission is to provide our members' support and networking opportunities in the local artists' community. The artisans in our group work in many different mediums to include painting, sculpture, jewelry, photography, woodworking, textile, quilting, and multimedia. We like to share our skills with each other with demonstrations, workshops and plein air events.
